Nature to taste
Apple wine is a speciality of South Tyrol, a region where the tradition of apple cultivation goes back decades.
When apples become wine
The Sandwiesen-Hof in Gargazonne has been producing a dry sparkling apple wine since 2010.
Although the idea came about by chance, the passion and experience to make wine came from producer Peter Thuile’s professional career. He personally carries out all the work in countless hours of painstaking manual labour to ensure the highest quality.
To create this sparkling apple wine, he selects the very best apples of the varieties Pink Lady, Granny Smith and Braeburn. High levels of sunlight and apples of perfect ripeness are essential for the development of the trademark fruity aroma.
This sparkling apple wine is a speciality of South Tyrol. It is fermented in the bottle and contains no added sugar. Its low alcohol content (7.5% vol.) makes it the ideal drink for memorable moments and everyday pleasures.
Its lightness, balanced palate and fruitiness, as well as its pleasant and discreet carbonation, make it versatile. Serve chilled at 4-6C, it not only makes an ideal aperitif but also an excellent accompaniment to seafood and freshwater fish, Mediterranean dishes, regional hors d'oeuvres and traditional South Tyrolean main courses, as well as a variety of cheeses and refined desserts. The product is only available in limited quantities each year.
